Congratulations to the girls 2003 CV White team for making it to the State Cup semi-finals of the President’s Divisions. The team won its difficult pool against 2 Silver Elite Teams (I.E. Surf, and NHB) and 1 San Diego Development Academy Team (Hotspurs). One of the teams from the pool made it to the other semifinal, really showing what a difficult pool it was.
The team came from behind twice to win its first elimination game 4-2 against Pateadores in overtime. The team came from behind again to beat undefeated Silver Elite Champions Aztecs 2-1. The team outlasted Slammers White 3-2 in the quarter-finals. The team eventually fell to an Arsenal team that added 13 ECNL players to the roster for State Cup in a close 1-0 game. The stacked Arsenal team went on to win the tournament, outscoring its opponents 38-0, with its semifinal game against CV as its only close game of the tournament.
